2. Bugatti La Voiture Noire

There are ‘common or garden’ Bugattis and then there is the Bugatti La Voiture Noire. It is a genuine one-of-a-kind, and while a standard Chiron costs £2.5 million including taxes, this one cost significantly more than four times as much. The vehicle is the second most expensive in the globe.

It is based on a Chiron and is a tribute to a 1940 Type 57 Atlantic owned by Jean Bugatti, the son of Bugatti’s founder. It inexplicably vanished en route from the Bugatti facility in Molsheim, France to Bordeaux on a train. Consider La Voiture Noire to be expensive? With 100PS more than a standard Chiron, up to 1600PS, plus longer gearing and a 250mm longer rear tail to enhance aerodynamics, the Super Sport 300+ is rumoured to be capable of approaching the 300mph mark – if you can locate a road long enough.

Fortunately, Bugatti gave owners the opportunity to test drive the vehicle on Germany’s ultra-long Ehr-Lessien test track. All thirty units have been sold and delivered as of the present year.
