Kota Institutes Dominate
The Kota district administration took back an order from August that told coaching institutes to stop giving regular tests to students on Tuesday. It also gave six new orders, one of which said that students in regular courses should have at least 21 days between tests.
In an order, District Collector OP Bunkar said there are no longer any limits on how often regular tests can be given in coaching institutes.
The order told coaching institutes how to run the tests. It said that students in regular courses should have a break of 21 days between tests and that students should have the day after a test off.
In the same way, there will be a seven-day gap between tests for students who have finished their courses.

Students won’t have to take routine tests, and the results won’t be given out until three days later. The test scores of each student will be given to them and their parents separately. The order said that the results shouldn’t be shown to the public.
After every test, there will be a meeting for students to talk about how they did. It also said that the schools would have to offer counseling to students whose grades were below average.
Bunkar asked coaching institutes on August 27 to stop giving regular tests to students preparing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) and other competitive exams for the next two months after a number of them committed suicide.
Every year, more than two lakh students move to Kota to prepare for entrance exams like the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) for engineering and the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) for medical schools.
