6th JPSC Exam: Jharkhand High Court seeks response from govt over sports quota reservation in JPSC

JPSC Civil Services Exam: On Monday, the Jharkhand High Court heard the petition filed against the non-reservation of reservation from sports quota in the sixth JPSC appointment. During the hearing, the court of Justice Dr SN Pathak has sought a response from the state government in this matter. The next hearing in the matter will be held after two weeks.

The court has asked the government whether the sports certificate of the applicant is valid for appointment in the state or not. Let us inform that in this case Mohini Ritika Tirkey has filed a petition in the Jharkhand High Court. During the hearing, the petitioner told the court that the advertisement for the 6th Combined Civil Examination was issued by JPSC. In this there was a provision to give reservation to sports quota. He also applied and submitted sports certificate along with educational qualification, but JPSC did not give him the benefit of sports quota. On this, advocates of JPSC Sanjay Piparwal and Prince Kumar Singh told the court that the certificate of the applicant is not valid for appointment. The institution from which he obtained the certificate is not affiliated to the Indian Olympic Association. On this, the court has sought clear information from the state government.
