ABVP protests alleged irregularities in PSC exam selection in Chhattisgarh

PSC exam selection: In the state capital of Chhattisgarh, hundreds of members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) protested alleged irregularities in the selection of candidates through the 2021 Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (PSC) examination. In order to demand an investigation of the selection process, the demonstration included participation from students and PSC candidates. As the police lathi-charged them, their effort to get to the Chief Minister’s residence was thwarted.

The ABVP members also chanted anti-state government slogans for failing to reduce violence against women in the state.

“Corruption predominates at every level in Chhattisgarh,” claimed Yagyavalkya Shukla, national general secretary of the ABVP. The state’s ministers make sure that their close friends are appointed to open positions whenever there are any employment openings. The kids who studied day and night for the PCS exam were not only disappointed and saddened by the discovery of anomalies in the answer sheets of the 2021 exam, but they were also enraged. Additionally, the High Court has put a hold on the selection of 18 applicants.

Manoj Vaishnav, the state secretary for the ABVP, emphasised the need for an investigation into the hiring of various officials and leaders’ close relatives, including the relatives of the former PSC Chairman.
