Academic Bank of Credits: According to the University Grants Commission (UGC), over 1 billion students have enlisted for the Academic Bank of Credits. According to the official website, 101.58 million ABC IDs have been created to date.

UGC chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar called it a “remarkable milestone,” stating, “We have achieved a remarkable milestone with over 1 billion student registrations in ABC, marking a significant step towards an adaptable and flexible credit system in India.”

National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 ushered in the Academic Bank of Credits.
