Addressing the inaugural session, Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Prof Rakesh Bhargava emphasized the significance of orientation programmes and highlighted the importance of the residency period in shaping young doctors as future specialists.
The Medical Education Unit (MEU), Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University organised a residents’ orientation programme for the newly- admitted postgraduate students on October 19.
Addressing the inaugural session, Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Prof Rakesh Bhargava emphasized the significance of orientation programmes and highlighted the importance of the residency period in shaping young doctors as future specialists.
Earlier, welcoming the guests, Coordinator, MEU, Prof Seema Hakim and Co-coordinator, Prof Syed Manazir Ali congratulated Prof Bhargava on completing a successful tenure as the Dean, Faculty of Medicine and presented a memento to him.

Prof Seema gave an extensive overview of the orientation program, while Co-coordinator Prof Syed Manazir Ali gave useful advice on dealing with patients and attendants, including bedside manners and etiquette while taking the round.
