AMU Alumna Delivers Interactive Talk: Prof Deeba Husain, an alumna of JN Medical College and the Department of Ophthalmology at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), and a senior Professor at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, USA, gave an interactive presentation on age-related macular degeneration (ARMD) in the Seminar Hall of the Department of Ophthalmology.

She discussed macular degeneration, the second primary cause of blindness worldwide, as well as the most recent diagnostic tools, medications, and future research on the topic.

Prof. Husain urged graduate students to pursue research and promised assistance to those who wish to work in the United States.

Prof. AK Amitava, Chairman of the Department, presided over the programme.

The welcome address was delivered by Professor Adeeb Alam Khan, while Dr. Abdul Waris offered the vote of gratitude.
