All India Essay Writing Competition: The Aligarh Muslim University has announced the annual All India Essay Writing Competition on “Sir Syed’s Influence on Language and Literature” for university and college students in English, Hindi, and Urdu.
The AMU Public Relations Officer, Mr. Omar Saleem Peerzada, stated that the competition will be held in English, Urdu, and Hindi, and that the first, second, and third prizes will be awarded separately in each language.

Students interested in participating in the Hindi and Urdu essay contests can compose their essays on the topics “Bhasha Evam Sahitya Par Sir Syed Ka Prabhav” and “Zabaan-o-Adab Par Sir Syed Ke Asaat,” respectively.
The essay writing competition is accessible to students from all colleges and universities in India. However, students up to the twelfth grade are ineligible to participate,” he added.
The first prize in each language is Rs. 25,000/-, the second prize is Rs. 15,000/-, and the third prize is Rs. 10,000/-. The awardees will be honoured at the Sir Syed Day commemorative meeting on October 17.
Mr. Peerzada stated that the essay must be mailed to Public Relations Office, AMU, Aligarh-202001 and submitted electronically to amuessaycompetition@gmail.com by October 1, 2023 at the latest. The announcement on the AMU website, www.amu.ac.in, provides additional information.
