AMU distance education centre linked to e-Vidya Bharati and e-Aarogya Bharati network project

The Centre for Distance and Online Education, AMU will be offering various distance education courses to African learners through www.ilearn.gov.in, an official portal by the Ministry of External Affairs, he added.

The Centre for Distance and Online Education , Aligarh Muslim University will be a part of e-VidyaBharati and e-AarogyaBharati (e-VBAB) Network Project to be launched by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India from July 2022 academic session.

AMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor said, “Through this program, we would be able to connect with learners from African countries who wish to pursue their higher education. We are glad to contribute towards this noble mission”.

He said that the Centre for Distance and Online Education is an integral part of the Aligarh Muslim University engaged in providing top-quality distance education to students from India and abroad.

Two AMU students selected for Master Programme in Russia

Director of the Centre, Professor Mohd Nafis Ahmad Ansari informed that the objective of e-VBAB Network Project is to provide good quality, effective education and medical services through web portals to the students, doctors and paramedical staff in Africa for the next 5 years. This project aims to provide 15,000 scholarships to African students who wish to pursue online undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma programmes within this time span.

He said that e-VBAB Network Project has set up a Learning Centre in each selected university in the participating African countries and students can make use of these learning centres to select the course of their choice offered by the AMU Centre for Distance and Online Education, which will be integrating its courses, such as BA, B.Com., MA and M.Com. in the i-learn portal.

“Enrolment for the July 2022 academic session has commenced and students have started registering in the official i-learn portal for admissions”, he said.
