AMU Faculty delivered a talk: On November 5, as part of an international conference, Prof. Mohammad Rihan, the founder director and coordinator of the Centre for Integrated Green and Renewable Energy at Aligarh Muslim University and head of the department of Electrical Engineering, spoke at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. In his talk, Dr. Rihan emphasised the critical significance that green energy derivatives—more especially, green hydrogen—have in India’s continuous shift to sustainable energy sources.
In his speech, Dr. Rihan discussed the national green hydrogen mission and the difficulties presented by the “canyon curve” and “duck curve” in the adoption of green energy. He also emphasised recent legislative modifications pertaining to the nation’s time-of-day tariff systems, which have a big influence on patterns of energy use.

He talked about the innovative M.Tech. programme on Green Energy and Sustainable Development, which is a partnership between the university and the National Institute of Solar Energy, which is part of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. He also shared the experience of implementing solar energy solutions at AMU.
During the conference, he presided over a technical session as well.
