AMU: Hands-on training programme on Sculpture Painting Skills

The Centre for Skill Development and Career Planning, Women’s College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a “Hands-on Training Programme in Sculpture Painting Skills” to mark Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Meri Maati Mera Desh and India’s G-20 Presidency.

Prof Naima Khatoon, Director of the centre said that the training programme was designed to help trainees learn to create the sculpture for interior decoration, commercial designing and wall painting.

The course instructor, Dr Atiya Parveen introduced the participants to flower sculpture painting skills which are used in sculpture wall painting, wall hanging, modern commercial designs and art pieces.

Thirty students of fashion illustration and handicraft courses from Women’s College, and from the Department of Visual Arts, Community College participated in the three-day training programme.
