INC’s School Outreach Program: On September 30, to commemorate India’s G20 Presidency, the Interdisciplinary Nanotechnology Centre (INC) at Aligarh Muslim University organised a School Outreach Programme that had a significant impact. The goal of the campaign was to introduce young people to the wonders of nanotechnology.

More than 20 pupils from schools like Al-Barkaat Public School, Iqra Public School, Blackdale Public School, STS High School, Sayyid Hamid Senior Secondary School (Boys), and ABK High School (Girls) took part in this educational spectacle.

The Chief Guest and Joint Secretary of ABES, Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui (Department of Geography, AMU), provided the students with invaluable life lessons and a profound feeling of inspiration in his inspiring talk.

INC’s School Outreach Program

The INC’s innovative creator and director, Professor Absar Ahmad, enthralled the audience with his enlightening speech on the fundamentals of nanotechnology and its fascinating real-world applications.

Under the direction of Dr. Mohd. Azhar Aziz, Director of INC, the meticulously planned School Outreach Programme came to a successful conclusion with a vote of encouragement for all participants, urging them to approach their educational paths with zeal and commitment.

The event featured a variety of participatory activities, such as real-time nanotechnology demonstrations using models, posters, and experiments, a thorough tour of INC’s state-of-the-art research facilities, and a competitive quiz show.

Muqtasid Ahmad Khan (Sayyid Hamid Senior Secondary School) won the quiz tournament, with Faizan Ul Haque (S.T.S. School) coming in second. Kaseed Anwar, Dr. Swaleha Naseem, and Dr. Syed Afzal Ahmad expertly presided over it.

The distinction of selecting the finest model and poster belonged to the students themselves. The “Targeted Drug Delivery” model presented by Km. Suzain, Zainab Zahid, Bushra Fatima, and Shahrukh Hussain (M. Tech. Nanotechnology first semester) won the esteemed Best Model award, while Altaf (M. Tech. Nanotechnology third semester) was given the honour of Best Poster.
