Death of a resident member: Mohammad Faisal, a resident of R.M. Hall, Aligarh Muslim University, who was in his final year of Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and died of a cardiac arrest early yesterday morning, was a student in the final year of Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and was pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, vice chancellor of AMU, expressed sorrow over Faisal’s passing, stating, “Faisal was a student with exceptional potential and academic credentials, and his tragic death is an irreparable loss to his family and friends.” We beseech Allah for a lofty throne for him in Jannah and for forbearance for his family.”

Prof. Mohammad Asif, Provost of the hall, stated that Faisal, who joined AMU in 2016 as a Diploma in Engineering student, intended to pursue advanced engineering studies at a foreign institution and was conducting research under the supervision of Dr. Saif Ullah Khan, Department of Civil Engineering.
Prof. Asif stated that BE Civil classes were suspended for the day and that the resident members and wardens of the R.M. Hall conducted a condolence meeting for Faisal and paid him rich tributes today.
During a condolence meeting conducted by the Department of Civil Engineering, faculty members, classmates, and friends of Faisal recalled him with fondness.
The officiating Chairman, Professor Mohammad Athar, along with Dr. Saifullah, Dr. Kamil, Mr. Tabish, and Mr. Saad Shamim spoke highly of Faisal and prayed for consolation for his family. A two-minute moment of silence was also observed to honour the deceased.
