AMU: Plantation Drive to Promote Environmental Sustainability

This activity is a part of SBI's continuous initiatives in the area to stop deforestation and promote sustainability.

Plantation Drive: A plantation drive was organised in front of Begum Azizun Nisan Hall and Lalzar Kothi near Purani Chungi, Aligarh Muslim University, as a sign of environmental awareness and dedication to a greener future. Under the auspices of SBI’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, this effort brought the committed staff members of the State Bank of India (SBI) and the Department of Land and Gardens together.

Mr. Amit Nath Jha (Regional Manager, SBI, RBO 4, Aligarh), the event’s chief guest, emphasised the value of CSR initiatives in fostering a greener and more sustainable environment. Such programmes have an influence that goes beyond the surrounding environment and offer important educational opportunities while actively supporting reforestation efforts.

The special guest Prof. Mohd Mohsin Khan (Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh) emphasised that the trees planted today will leave a lasting legacy for future generations in addition to improving the air quality and providing shade. The success of the plantation campaign shows how committed the community is to preserving the environment for a greener, cleaner campus.
