Open District Tournament: The Women’s College and Abdullah Hall, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) co-organized the National Sports Day Open District Tournament.
Mr. Mohammad Imran, IPS, Registrar, AMU, was the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony. He encouraged the participants by stating that sports fosters team spirit and should be an integral part of one’s existence. The Chief Guest declared the tournament open.
Dr. Naima Khatoon, Principal of Women’s College, inspired the students and praised all those involved for their perseverance in ensuring the event’s success.

The tournament features 28 table tennis competitors, 110 volleyball teams, and 36 badminton players from various institutions and universities.
Dr. Jameel Ahmad, President of the Gymkhana club, Prof. Roomana Siddiqui, Ms. Umra Zaheer, and Mrs. Shabana Nisar were among the honoured guests.
The vote of gratitude was proposed by Dr. Nazia Khan, Assistant Director of Sports at Women’s College, and Mehwash Khan, Games Supervisor at Abdullah Hall.
