Bihar DElEd: No negative marking in Bihar Board DElEd entrance exam, pattern, qualifying marks

In the new pattern, however, they will receive one mark instead of three for each correct answer.

In the Bihar DLED Joint Entrance Examination, there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. This system has been abolished by the state government. In addition, the existing numbering system has been altered. Candidates will now have to answer 120 questions rather than 150 in two and a half hours. In the new pattern, however, they will receive one mark instead of three for each correct answer. However, unlike in the past, one mark will not be deducted for incorrect answers.

The Education Department has made numerous significant changes to the current format of the DLED entrance exam. The minimum qualifying marks for the entrance exam have now been established. The exam will require a minimum of 35 points to pass. Candidates from the reserved category must obtain 30 points. At the same time, those who took the Intermediate Annual Examination but did not receive their results will be able to take the DLED entrance examination. They must, however, score at least 50 points in the intermediate exam to be considered for selection. The reserved category will receive a 5-point reduction. The DLED Entrance Exam-2023 was thoroughly discussed at the Education Department’s high-level meeting.

Seat compulsion will end after the third round.

The Education Department has made a significant change to the examination. Seat compulsion was abolished after the third round in this case. Currently, science receives 50% of allotted seats, while arts and commerce receive 50%. However, under the new system, candidates from any faculty will be able to enrol on the seats that will be left vacant after the third round of nominations in their category.
