Bihar Teacher Recruitment: Sixth phase of Shikshak Niyojan completed, 79000 posts left vacant

Bihar Shikshak Niyojan 2022: The scheduled program of distribution of appointment letters in the last round in the missed planning units of the state has also been completed, but the result was as disappointing as the earlier planning schedule. In the final phase of the program, the planning units where the process was going on, according to the initial information, even 300 teachers could not get the education department in the final.

Under the sixth phase, out of 1.22 lakh teacher posts, about 79 thousand have remained vacant. In these, in addition to 49 thousand posts of preliminary, about 30 thousand posts of high school-plus two are included. According to the experts, due to the long planning process, a large number of qualified teachers got engaged in other states and other works, which led to this condition of planning.

It may be mentioned that under the sixth phase, the process of appointment to 90 thousand 762 vacant posts in 72000 elementary schools of the state had started in July 2019. A little more than 41 thousand teachers could be appointed in two-three times. Primary Directorate released another appointment schedule for the missed placement units on 29th July 2022 due to non-completion of recruitment process in all 9000 placement units. In its 75 planning units, planning letters were to be distributed from 7 to 10 September. Earlier on August 26, counseling cum certificates were to be matched. The total inflow of qualified candidates in counseling was less than 300 only. From this, it can be estimated that to whom the appointment letter would have been given. However, the district will duly send its final report to the primary directorate in the next one or two days. In this way, out of total 90762 posts, less than 42 thousand elementary teachers could be reinstated and about 49 thousand of their posts remained vacant.

6th phase almost complete

Barring a few planning units of secondary and higher secondary, the planning program has been completed in all the planning units of the state. The education department is also now in the mood to end the sixth phase, because the then minister of the department had also announced about it and the candidates are also continuously demanding to start the seventh phase. It is said that soon the end of the sixth phase can be announced by the department.
