CET-qualified candidates along with youth congress protest in Karnal: Hundreds of candidates who passed the Haryana Staff Selection Commission’s common eligibility test (CET) and youth congress activists staged a protest in Karnal, demanding the opportunity to take the main exam.
The protest was conducted by Congress representative Deepender Hooda and Haryana Youth Congress president Divyanshu Budhiraja.

Countless CET-qualified candidates from throughout the state converged on Karnal. Some private coaching centre proprietors accompany them.
The protesting youths attempted to gherao the residence of the chief minister in Karnal, but the police halted them a few metres away, where they staged a sit-in and chanted slogans against the state government. They subsequently submitted a memo to the district administration.
Deepender Hooda, while supporting the demands of the youth, stated that the government should grant all youths who pass the CET the opportunity to participate in recruitment and reverse the changes made to the CET qualifying rules.
He stated that the Congress will elevate the youth’s input from the streets to the Vidhan Sabha and the Parliament.
“If the current government does not accept the demands of the youth, then when the Congress forms a government in the state, we will give every CET-qualified youth a chance,” he said.
Deepender claimed that Haryana has the greatest unemployment rate in the nation. On the other hand, two lakh government positions are unfilled, and recruitment are stagnating or falling victim to fraud.
He stated that the arbitrary four-time CET requirement imposed by the BJP-JJP government is meaningless.
According to Budhiraja Divyanshu, out of 7.53 million applicants, approximately 3.57 million young people passed the CET. The staff selection commission’s decision to invite only four times the number of youths who passed the CET (vacancy-wise) for the main examination is unjust to the youths who passed the CET.
