Chhattisgarh Honored with Prestigious “Bhoomi Samman”: Tuesday, Chhattisgarh received the prestigious “Bhoomi Samman” award for its exceptional performance in land management and administration.

The Collectors of two districts of Chhattisgarh, Bemetara and Surguja, were recognised for their outstanding performance in achieving saturation of the essential components of the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) – the foundation of Governance.

Chhattisgarh Honored with Prestigious “Bhoomi Samman” for Digitization of Land Records

The “Bhoomi Samman Platinum Award” was bestowed upon nine state secretaries and seventy-five district collectors in the nation for their exceptional achievements in implementing the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) – a crucial aspect of governance.

On Tuesday, President Droupadi Murmu presented the award to the revenue secretary of Chhattisgarh, Neelam Namdev Ekka, the inspector general of registration and superintendent of stamps, Kiran Kaushal, and the director of land records, Ramesh Sharma, at a ceremony conducted at the Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.

The President honoured Bemetara district collector Padum Singh Alma, Surguja district collector Kundan Kumar, and their respective teams for their commendable work in the modernization of land records, digitization of village maps, and modernization of archives.

Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel congratulated the state revenue department and Surguja and Bemetara district administrations on this accomplishment.

Under the DILRMP, 95% of the state’s land management-related projects have been completed. Similarly, all four components relating to land management, digitization of land records, coordination with the registration office, and establishment of a model record room in the districts of Surguja and Bemetara of the state have been completed. This district ranks among the best in the nation for land management.
