CUET: So far 168 universities have chosen CUET, UGC said 200 universities will accept cuet score admission

Many universities might not be NTA-registered, but after the exam is given, they are still able to use the CUET score for admission. I predict that this time, 200 universities will use the CUET score.

Up to 168 universities have chosen to use the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) to admit students to undergraduate programs, which is a significant increase from the 90 universities that did so last year. These particulars were given by the officers. Due to the anticipated increase in universities choosing to use the test for admission, the original application deadline of March 12 is also likely to be extended. The 168 universities include 31 state universities and 44 central universities, including Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in Delhi, Cotton University in Guwahati, and Dr. BR Ambedkar School of Economics in Karnataka.

On the basis of the CUET score, 27 deemed universities will admit students to their undergraduate programs. This year, the Common Entrance Test will also feature sixty private institutions, such as Bennett University in Uttar Pradesh, NIIT University in Rajasthan, and UPES in Dehradun. The exam will be given from May 21 to May 31.

The head of UGC, M. Jagadesh Kumar, told News18 in an interview that this year, students can select 10 subjects as opposed to just 9 last year. The exam schedule has not changed this year. This time, the UGC intends to guarantee that students have access to as many exam sites of their choosing as possible. Additionally, a plan is in place to make sure that the exam sites are located within a 100-kilometer range of the candidates’ homes.

Many universities might not be NTA-registered, but after the exam is given, they are still able to use the CUET score for admission. I predict that this time, 200 universities will use the CUET score.
