DBU introduces DBEST Scholarship Scheme
DBU introduces DBEST Scholarship Scheme: Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, in collaboration with the district employment bureau, hosted a “mega job fair” at Sri Muktsar Sahib, which was located in CHANDIGARH.
Special attendees at the event included Satwinder Singh, Tehsildar of Muktsar Sahib, Dr Sandeep Singh, President of Desh Bhagat University, and Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice-President of DBU.
Dr. Sandeep Singh stated that the purpose of the job fair was to offer graduate students and young people from the surrounding areas the opportunity to be selected for the best jobs in their respective fields.
The Vice-President, Dr Harsh Sadawarti, stated that over 900 candidates attended this employment fair, where 28 companies including Justdial, HDFC, and Ocean Engineering came to recruit. He stated that a compensation package of up to Rs 6 lakh per year was offered to qualified candidates.
He stated that the University offered a special scholarship programme called DBEST (Desh Bhagat University Entrance Scholarship Test) to meritorious and financially disadvantaged students. Students who pass the DBEST entrance examination are eligible for up to a hundred per cent scholarship.
