The Department of Mathematics at Aligarh Muslim University will host a “G20-themed international conference on variational analysis and optimization with applications” between September 23 and September 25, 2023. The conference will feature a number of eminent mathematicians, particularly from G-20 countries, whose research focuses on variational analysis and optimization with applications.

Prof. Q. A. Ansari, the conference organizer, announced that the opening ceremony will take place on September 23 at 9:30 a.m. in the new Conference Room of the Department of Mathematics.

Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, will be the Chief Guest, and Prof. Tamas Terlaky, Lehigh University, United States, will be the Guest of Honor.

Prof. M. Ashraf, Chairman of the Department, stated that the conference will bring together some of the brightest minds in the fields of Variational Analysis and Optimization, which lie at the heart of contemporary science and technology and are the driving forces behind advances in fields as diverse as machine learning, engineering, economics, healthcare, railways, and public transportation systems.
