Department of Pathology, AMU to organize International CME on Hematology

Postgraduate students will present oral papers and posters, and the finest presentations will be recognized during the concluding session.

On September 20-21, 2023, the Department of Pathology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will host a two-day International CME on Hematology – Basic Concepts and Changing Paradigms under the auspices of G-20.

Prof. Mahboob Hasan, Organizing Chairman for the CME and Chairman, Department of Pathology, JNMC, stated that the CME will feature lectures from world-renowned hematologists and hemato-oncologists, and that approximately 200-250 delegates are expected to attend the academic programme.

Some of the eminent speakers include Dr. Bakul Dalal, Clinical Professor, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, Dr. Anita Borges, Lab Director & Consultant Pathologist, Centre for Oncopathology, Mumbai, Dr. Sumeet Gujral, Professor, Department of Pathology, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, Dr. Suparno Chakrabarti, Head of the Department of Bone marrow transplantation and hematology, Dharamshila Nar

The speakers will examine fundamental to advanced hematological disorders, with a focus on acute and chronic hematolymphoid neoplasms as well as bleeding and coagulation disorders. Case-based and interactive sessions will be provided.

Postgraduate students will present oral papers and posters, and the finest presentations will be recognized during the concluding session.

Co-organizing Secretaries are Dr. Mohd. Feroz Alam and Dr. Bushra Siddiqui, Souvenir Editors are Dr. Hena Ansari and Shagufta Qadri, Joint Organizing Secretaries are Dr. Suhailur Rehman and Dr. Shagufta Qadri, and Treasurers are Prof. Mohd. Jaseem Hassan and Dr. Murad Ahmed.
