Orientation Program: The Department of Social Work at Aligarh Muslim University marked the completion of its 28th Orientation Programme by announcing the admission of new MSW (Master of Social Work) students for the academic year 2023–2024. The programme provided a thorough introduction to the curriculum over the course of a week and concurrent fieldwork, culminating in a ceremony held at the Faculty of Arts.

As the event’s chief guest, Mr. Mohammad Imran, IPS, the registrar of AMU, welcomed the arriving students and praised their selection for the esteemed MSW programme. In his speech, Mr. Imran emphasised the program’s importance in providing students with a variety of talents, especially in tackling difficult global challenges.

Mr. Imran emphasised the importance of social work’s role in public health and corporate social responsibility during his lecture. In addition, he emphasised how important technology is to the field’s advancement and urged students to embrace the path of becoming licenced social workers by telling them to “shine through the process.”

The programme was successfully completed after Prof. Naseem Ahmad Khan, Chair of the Department of Social Work, thanked Mr. Mohammad Imran for his assistance. Certificates were given to participants, organisers, and resource people during the ceremony.

The event’s compere, Dr. Mohd Arif Khan, Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Work, introduced the 28th Orientation Program’s Valedictory. Students studying for the MSW degree, academics, and faculty members all attended the occasion.

Additionally, MSW-I, II, and BA V semester students as well as research scholars attended the event. An MSW-I Semester student named Ms. Madiha Fatima gave a touching thank you speech to wrap up the programme.
