He extended a warm greeting to the incoming freshman class, signifying the beginning of the 2023-24 academic year at the university. After a three-year interruption induced by the Covid pandemic, the academic calendar has successfully resumed its regular schedule.

As stated by the university, on Wednesday, Singh extended his heartfelt best wishes to the prospective freshmen and encouraged them to explore the campuses of their respective colleges without fear.
