Eid Milad-ul-Nabi Programme: Today at the Kennedy Hall of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), the customary commemorative event of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, held to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (SAW), was held. The speakers emphasised the importance of following and imitating the life of Prophet Mohammad (SAW) in every way, both personally and socially.
The Darul Uloom-Deoband Maulana Mufti Mohammad Salman Bajnori said, “The love for Prophet Mohammad requires us to follow him, conduct our life at home and outside like him, take care of neighbours, and exhibit good moral character.” He was speaking at a programme presided over by AMU Vice Chancellor Professor Mohammad Gulrez.
The Prophet’s Sunnah was explained by Maulana Bajnori, along with its importance for daily living on both a personal and societal level. To make our kids effective members of society, he said, “it is important to instill the love of the Prophet in them and to raise them in a moral way.”
All eminent philosophers, according to Maulana Nazim Ali Khairabadi, Rector of Jamia Haidariya, Khairabad, Mau, have acknowledged the Prophet of Islam’s excellent morality. He urged every Muslim to live both inside and outside the family as a real example of the Prophet’s honourable conduct.
Maulana Khairabadi underlined the message of the life of the Prophet of Islam, which is to “eradicate ignorance and spread the light of knowledge,” while narrating many stories from his life. He exhorted the populace to comprehend the genuine meaning of the Prophet’s life and adhere to it in letter and spirit, saying that knowledge is riches and ignorance is poverty.
