Family Call On PM Modi: Chancellor of Lovely Professional University and AAP Rajya Sabha member Ashok Mittal along with his family called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently. During the meeting, Mittal reminded the Prime Minister of his visit to LPU during the Indian Science Congress in 2019, where he addressed the scientific community and coined the slogan ‘Jai Anusandhan’.

Mittal informed the chief minister that he and the LPU are always ready to play whatever role the government deems appropriate in the implementation of the national education policy. Family call on PM Modi, Mittal and his wife Mrs. Rashmi Mital presented a bouquet and Phulkar (Punjabi hand woven scarf). The chancellor of LPU shared views on the importance of promoting research and innovation in higher education and strengthening cooperation between industry and higher education to promote economic growth and development. He also mentioned how LPU has participated in the task of national competence development by providing industry-related training to its students. He further thanked the Prime Minister for his continued support to the education sector and expressed appreciation for the government’s New Education Policy (NEP) initiative. On this occasion, the Mittals were accompanied by their son Pratham Mittal, daughter Srishti and son-in-law Sreshtha Khetan.

The LPU claimed that Modi spent a lot of time with his family discussing various issues related to education and development.
