Five-Day Entrepreneurial Boot Camp: The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu), in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship and Rural Development Centre (ERDC) and the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR) Chandigarh, under the aegis of the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, has launched a Five-Day Residential Boot camp titled “Enlightening the Entrepreneurial Spirit” in Jagti cam.

The inaugural event was attended by a panel of distinguished guests, including Suraj Bhardwaj, Former National Head of Agrivision, as the principal guest, and Prof Kannan Iyer, along with Dr. Vijay Kumar Pal and Chetan Sahore, as the distinguished Guest of Honour.

In his presidential address, Suraj Bhardwaj encouraged youthful minds by cultivating their entrepreneurial spirit and inspiring them to think creatively.

Prof. Kannan Iyer, the honoured guest, exhorted the young students to aspire to become job-creators and instilled in them a sense of responsibility for generating new opportunities.

In his opening remarks to the participating students and their guardians, Dr. Vijay Pal emphasised the significance of such initiatives in fostering national development.

This Entrepreneurial Boot Camp’s primary objective is to instill an entrepreneurial spirit in high school students by introducing them to various aspects of entrepreneurship, such as personality assessment, idea generation, business planning, legalities, funding, pitching, and understanding government initiatives that support entrepreneurial ventures.

Under the initiative, students from various states gathered to network with their peers, aspiring entrepreneurs, industry representatives, and government officials.
