NEW DELHI: A crucial decision has been made to guarantee the safety of students and employees in the wake of ongoing communal conflict. The threat to public order in the neighbouring district of Nuh. All schools and institutions in the districts of Gurugram and Faridabad will be closed today, August 1. Concerns about anti-social elements blocking roadways prompted the district administration to issue a severe injunction to educational institutions. They ordered them to strictly abide by the closure for the benefit of the neighbourhood.

Authorities are carefully striving to bring about calm and tranquilly in the area while closely monitoring the situation. The closure is intended to act as a preventative measure during the continuing conflict in the neighbouring region. All schools in Gurgaon, Faridabad, and Palwal received orders late on Monday night to remain closed on Tuesday.

Reason behind Gurugram and Faridabad schools shut down!

The latest statements from local authorities should be kept up to date, parents and pupils are reminded. Maintaining peace and tranquilly in the districts of Gurugram and Faridabad was the main consideration. Once the situation is stabilised, it is anticipated that educational activities will pick back up. By providing students with a secure setting in which to continue their education.

In Nuh and Gurgaon, the government had previously issued prohibitory orders in accordance with Section 144 of the CrPC. Later, the Centre sent 20 companies of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) to the state in response to a request for aid.

On Monday night, Nuh police convened a peace meeting with representatives of both communities. There was intense security presence on all routes leading to the neighbourhood with a Muslim majority. In Hisar, at the 800-year-old dargah Char Qutub, security was also increased.

After a religious procession led by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) arrived at Nuh Chowk.  Intercommunal conflict erupted there. After a Bajrang Dal member declared on social media that he would participate in the parade. The atmosphere became filled with tension for a day. Threatening videos were published on social media accounts in response to this.

The Cause of This Incident

Provocative chants and stone throwing are said to have occurred as the march arrived at Nuh Chowk. This is resulting in fights between the two groups. While authorities attempted to secure their safety, police vehicles were damaged. Mmany participants sought sanctuary in a temple.

Videos and forwards about the violence caused mobs to assemble near Sohna Chowk in Gurgaon while police deployed aggressively in Nuh. Arsonists set fire to carts and vehicles, and the police force was understaffed. The public has been urged by the authorities to keep the peace by not sharing unpleasant material online.

Home Minister Anil Vij emphasised the government’s focus on upholding law and order while Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar made a call for peace. Aftab Ahmed, a Congress MLA, advised people to keep the peace in this difficult situation by refraining from spreading rumours.
