HCPSS Calendar for the 2023-2024 School Year: Calendar Committee members include representatives of the Howard County Education Association, support staff, principals, central office staff, students, parents, and community organisation representatives. Throughout the committee’s deliberations, input from stakeholder groups is sought.
Each year, the committee presents its recommendation to the Superintendent and senior staff, who then present it to the Board of Education. A public hearing is part of the Board’s approval procedure to enable community members to comment on the proposal. The Board of Education votes to ratify the calendar for each academic year.
