Hindi Diwas Bhashan in Hindi: 14 September short and essay nibandh, speech on Hindi Diwas

On the request of Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti, Wardha to spread Hindi in every region, since 1953, 14 September was celebrated every year as Hindi Diwas all over India.

Hindi Diwas is celebrated on 14 September. On this day in the year 1949, Hindi was declared as the official language by one vote in the Legislative Assembly.

On the request of Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti, Wardha to spread Hindi in every region, since 1953, 14 September was celebrated every year as Hindi Diwas all over India.

Apart from this, every year 10 January is celebrated as World Hindi Diwas. On this day special workshops on Hindi are organized in schools, colleges and institutions. Various competitions are held on this occasion in which students participate.

Mahatma Gandhi had described Hindi as the language of the common man. Hence it was given the status of a national language. According to a survey conducted in 1997, Hindi is spoken by about 66 percent of the people of India and 77 percent understands it.
