HPSSSB Recruitment Exam Paper Leak: Govt Bans Functioning of State Staff Selection Commission

HPSSC Exam Paper Leak: Himachal Pradesh’s newly formed government has suspended the operation of the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission with immediate effect. HPSSC recently held the Assistant Office Assistant (JOA) recruitment exam, during which the news of a paper leak surfaced. In connection with the case, the State Vigilance Department arrested six people on Saturday, including an employee of the Himachal Pradesh State Staff Selection Commission (HPSSC). This information had been provided by the officials.

The Commission, he said, had cancelled the examination scheduled for Sunday. According to an HPSSC spokesperson, the vigilance department received a complaint that a tout named Sanjay approached him to provide question papers. The department set a trap after receiving the complaint. According to officials, Dalal asked the complainant to meet him at NIT Hamirpur, where he took her to the home of Uma Azad, senior superintendent of the HPSSC’s secrecy branch. He claimed that the broker and the officer were apprehended on the spot.

“A total of Rs 2.50 lakh and solved question papers were recovered from Azad’s house,” officials said. His computer was also confiscated.” According to him, the police have also arrested some other people who had made online payments to the touts. Around 1.5 lakh people applied for the JOA (IT) exam. According to officials, a case has been filed with the state vigilance department and the Anti-Corruption Bureau in this regard.
