IAS Pritam Kumar: Father was in Kargil war son passed UPSC, became IAS officer

IAS Pritam Kumar: It takes many years to prepare for the UPSC exam, but only a few lucky candidates have their names appear on the UPSC final list. Pritam Kumar, who placed ninth in the UPSC 2021 exam, is the subject of today’s discussion. Let’s talk about Pritam, an IAS officer.

Regarding Pritam’s family history, his father served in the Indian Army and lost his leg during the Kargil war. Pritam is a resident of Kotra village in Rajasthan’s Sikar district.

Pritam said in the interview, my father has been in the army, so the atmosphere at home has always been of service to the country. I knew I wanted to be an IAS officer from the start.

“I never had a backup option,” he explained. My goal was to pass the UPSC. This was my third attempt, and I had made it to the interview round twice before. Finally, I was chosen on the third try.”

Pritam, an engineering graduate from IIT-Ropar, began preparing for UPSC in high school. He worked in New Delhi for a year, which presented him with numerous challenges while studying for the UPSC exam.

Pritam prepared in this manner.

When aspiring to be a UPSC topper, preparation is essential. Along with gaining as much knowledge about current events as possible, you must pay close attention to the topics and concepts. Pritam began studying for the exam in 2018 and began working in Delhi for a year.

However, he later began self-studying for the exam. He used to devote adequate time to each subject. ‘My son was studying locked in the room for four years, I used to pray to God that my son get a good rank, and God listened to me,’ Pritam’s mother said.

IAS Pritam Kumar provided advice.

According to Pritam, sometimes your studies go well, then you get tired and want to give up, but the challenge is to keep going and working hard towards the goal. It is simple to pass any exam if you constantly prepare.”

Working hard, according to Pritam, will get you to your desired destination in life. You must be determined to achieve your life objectives. Pritam says that for those who did not pass the UPSC exam, UPSC is more than just an exam; it changes your study goals for life.
