IIT-Hyd Incubator: GITAM Student Innovators Secure Grants

These extraordinary innovators use it as a nurturing environment as they develop their concepts and abilities.

IIT-Hyd Incubator: Eight extraordinary student innovators from GITAM (Deemed to be University) have been awarded grants of INR 1 lakh each by the iTIC incubator at the Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad (IIT-H).

These innovators, chosen from a pool of 600+ applications from across the country in a highly competitive process, represent some of the best and brightest young minds in India’s startup ecosystem and are poised to bring about significant change in a number of industries, including vehicle safety, wastewater filtration, healthcare, STEM education, and retail technology.

Anik Panja, the brains behind HYDROGRAVITRICITY (a ground-breaking wastewater filtration system); Anoushk, the creator of NEUSPINE (an innovative spinal posture health technology solution); Mathukumilli Lochan, the driving force behind STEMQuest (a transformative approach to STEM education); Namrata Yantrapragada, the brains behind YUMDRINKS (a health-focused, low-GI drink); and P. Sushma are among the

Sreedevi Devireddy, Director of the GITAM Venture Development Centre, adding, “Innovation is the driving force behind progress.” This statement was made in reference to the creative potential at GITAM (Deemed to be University) and the spirit of entrepreneurship it nurtures. We are honoured to work with the Greenko Group and iTIC to support these aspiring innovators in realising their potential and leaving a lasting impression. We are happy to see that GITAM’s young innovator students are getting the help they require to make their innovative ideas a reality.

Student Innovators Secure Grants from IIT-Hyd Incubator

Being one of the 13 partner incubators involved in the stringent selection process, the Venture Development Centre at GITAM played a vital role. These extraordinary innovators use it as a nurturing environment as they develop their concepts and abilities as part of the VDC’s pre-incubation programme.

The ‘Bold & Unique Ideas Leading to Development’ (BUILD) programme was earlier this year launched by the IIT-H’s iTIC incubator in partnership with Greenko Group with the intention of assisting undergraduate students and recent graduates in giving shape to their innovative ideas and ultimately turning them into startups.
