The application procedure for JAM 2024 will open on September 5, 2023, at the official website, jam.iitm.ac.in, according to the information booklet. The deadline to submit an online JAM 2024 application is October 13, 2023.

At the undergraduate level, JAM 2024 will be administered as seven test papers via computer-based testing (CBT).
Three objective-type questions—Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions—will be included in these test papers.
JAM test results will be utilised for admission to M.Sc., M.Sc. (Tech), M.S. Research, M.Sc.-M.Tech. Dual Degree, Joint M.Sc. – Ph.D., and M.Sc. – Ph.D. Dual Degree programmes at various institutes for those who pass the exam in 2024. There are approximately 3000 seats available in IITs.
