J&K PMSSS Scholarship 2023-24 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria prescribed below can apply for the J&K PMSSS Scholarship 2023:
- Candidate must be a resident of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
- Education: Students must have passed the 10+2 examination from a school affiliated with the J&K Board or CBSE in J&K.
- Lateral Admission (Diploma): Entrants must have obtained a 10+3 diploma from a J&K State Polytechnic in order to be eligible for admission to the second year of a prescribed list of universities.
- Income: The annual family income from all sources should not exceed eight million rupees.
- Other: The scholarship is only open to those willing to study outside of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Students who pass the NEET or JEE entrance examinations administered by the Central or State governments are eligible for scholarships.
Disqualification for the scholarship
- The PMSSS scholarship is not available to candidates who will pursue their degree or diploma at Open University.
- Those receiving financial assistance from another schemes are ineligible for the PMSSS scholarship.
- Applicants admitted through the management quota will be ineligible for the PMSSS scholarship.
J&K PMSSS Enrollment Procedure
J&K PMSSS Scholarship Application Form for 2023
- Candidates interested in applying for the J&K PMSSS Scholarship can do so by accessing the AICTE website. Candidates can register based on their 12th-grade or post-secondary merit by selecting the corresponding link.
- To complete the application, candidates must provide their fundamental personal and academic information.
- Additionally, scanned copies of each applicant’s photograph, signature, and other essential documents must be submitted to the application form.
- Candidates can submit their online application after entering all required information accurately.
- After successfully submitting the application form, candidates should print it out and store it for future reference.
- In addition to other essential documents, a copy of the application must be brought to the document verification centre.
Document Validation & Optional Filling
- Applicants are required to verify their submitted documents with the originals at the nearest Facilitation Centres.
- After document verification, candidates must obtain a copy of the document verification report from the facilitation centre.
- After verification, the document must be transmitted with a stamp to the portal of the Facilitation Centres, at which point the choice filling window will become active.
- Students must indicate their preferred college and department in order to be considered for a scholarship award.
- The preference filling window will be closed on the final date, and no changes will be permitted thereafter.
Essential Documents
Original and one set of self-attested photocopies of the following documents must be carried to the Facilitation Centres for verification:
- Scholarship Application for the J&K PMSSS
- Tenth Grade Grade Sheet
- XIIth Grade Report Card (if any)
- Diploma Certificate (exclusively for lateral entry)
- Residence Certificate
- Aadhaar Card (if applicable).
- Certificate of Family Income (issued by the Tahsildar or equivalent)
- Valid Certificate of Caste for SC/ ST/ SEBC to Claim Reservation Per State Government Policy
- Valid Certificate of Disability (if any)
Note: The original documents will be returned to the candidates, and it is their responsibility to ensure that they receive them.
Ranking & Seat Assignment
- On the basis of candidates’ CBSE/ JKBOSE scores and application information, a merit list will be compiled.
- The list will be posted online prior to the start of the counselling procedure.
- Counselling will be conducted online, and candidates will be assigned seats based on their merit and preference.
- Candidates who have been assigned a seat must affirm their seats in order to receive the confirmation letter/welcome letter.
- Those who possess this list can then participate in the selection process for the scholarship.
J&K PMSSS Scholarship Selection Procedure for 2023
- Candidates who have confirmed their seats at their respective colleges are required to upload the joining report via the student logon.
- To be considered for the scholarship, the report must be submitted no later than the specified deadline.
- The joining report submitted by candidates must be verified online via the institute’s login page.
- The institution must also verify the candidate’s bank information and Aadhaar number (if applicable).

I have submitted my online scholarship application to J&K PMSSS. Is it feasible to make modifications?
Yes. Officers of the facilitation centre can only amend the online application form if original documents supporting your request for editing are provided.
What format should the photo and signature uploaded to the application form be in?
Both the photo and signature must be in.JPG/.PDF/.PNG format and less than 2 MB in size.
Which facilitation centre should I visit to verify my documents?
You may verify your documents at any of the facilitation centres established by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. On the AICTE website, a list of Facilitation Centres will be made available.
