JoSAA: IIT and NIT vacant seats admission, special rounds to begin from 24 October

JoSAA Counseling 2022: Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the second round seat allotment on its official website josaa.nic.in. Meanwhile, the last date for JoSAA registration is September 21. This year, the process of centralized seat allocation for online registration for admission in UG courses of NITs, IIEST, IIIT, SPA (School of Planning and Architecture) and some GFTI institutes is being conducted by NIT Raulkela (NIT). All these technical institutes have been named as NIT plus system.

Actually, it is very important for any candidate to understand the process of counseling. A small mistake can deprive the candidate of taking admission in a well-ranked institute. If someone sleeps comfortably after getting a seat in his dream college and does not complete the online document verification and fee payment process, then he may have to pay the cost of this mistake by losing his seat.

JoSAA Registration Last Date – 21 September 2022
Date of First Round Result – 23 September 2022
Six rounds of JoSAA counseling – 23 September to 16 October
Display of vacant seats after JoSAA round – October 24
Registration for vacant seats through CSAB special round – 24 October
29 October to 6 November 2022 – Two special rounds of CESAB will be held.
7th November 2022 – Likely date to start first year classes

After the JoSAA round is over, the registration for the CSAB-Special Round on the vacant seats will start from October 24, 2022. The entire process will be over by November 6.

Keep these important things in mind

– Do not share your login details with anyone.
– Fill the seats in the order of your choice.
Keep their final PDF (Size: 10-500 KB) ready for uploading their certificates after seat allotment.
– In case of OBC-NCL/EWS category candidates, valid certificate should be issued on/after April 01, 2022. Invalid certificate may result in cancellation of allotted seat.
Don’t forget to fill online document verification, fee payment option.
– Understand freeze, float, slide. Whenever a seat is allotted, select an option.
