India’s Green Revolution: Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, the mastermind behind India’s green revolution, was honoured by Prof. Qazi Fariduddin of the Department of Botany at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) by stressing his contributions to the cause of sustainable agriculture in the nation.
Professor Fariduddin stated during a lecture on Dr. M. S. Swaminathan and his contributions to agriculture and food security that Swaminathan’s name is synonymous with the green revolution and sustainable farming methods in India. The lecture was organised by the Department of Botany.
