NEET PG postponement: Supreme Court Seeks NBE Response

For the past few days, candidates have been running a #PostponeNeetPG campaign on Twitter.

NEET PG 2023: The Supreme Court has requested a response from the National Board of Examinations (NBE) on a petition seeking a postponement of the NEET PG 2023 Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination. The case will be heard again on Monday, February 27. The doctor candidates have requested a two to three-month postponement of the examination in their petition. According to reports, the Supreme Court will issue its decision on Monday. During the hearing on Friday, a bench of Justices S Ravindra Bhatt and Dipankar Dutta directed the NBE to provide certain facts as well as a solution to the problem. He is not currently issuing any orders in favour of anyone and is keeping the case open.

However, the bench expressed concern about the hardship caused to candidates who had worked hard to prepare for the exam in the event of its postponement. According to the Live Law website, Justice Bhatt stated, “Students who have been preparing for this exam for months, let them know that they will have to wait for one more month, we also understand the pain they are going through, in case of paper postponement, complete the exam.” The dynamic has shifted.

For the past few days, candidates have been running a #PostponeNeetPG campaign on Twitter. According to these candidates, there is a significant difference between the date of the NEET PG exam and the counselling process. A petition was also filed in the Telangana High Court, but the court declined to intervene. According to the Telangana High Court, the examination dates were finalised six months ago and will be held on All India Laver.

According to the NEET PG exam schedule, admit cards for this exam will be distributed on February 27, 2023. The exam will be held on March 5, 2023. The results will be made public on March 31.

Despite the fact that all relevant departments, from the NMC to the Health Ministry, have refused to postpone the NEET 2023 PG exam. Even in Parliament, the government has refused to postpone the exam.

Admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma, and PG DNB courses is done solely through the NEET PG exam. Every year, tens of thousands of MBBS graduates take this exam.
