New Kendriya Vidyalaya to Start on Central University of Punjab Campus in November 2023

According to KV regulations, CU Punjab employees' offspring will receive priority during the selection process, then civilians.

Bathinda District residents can now celebrate, as the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi, has received sanction from the Ministry of Education, Government of India to establish a New Kendriya Vidyalaya on the premises of CU Punjab, Bathinda. The new KV will commence with sections I through V during the academic year 2023–24; admission will be conducted offline. The fifth Kendriya Vidyalaya will be established in the Bathinda district.

Kendriya Vidyalaya at Central University of Punjab (KVCUP), which was recently established, has released the admissions schedule for Classes I through V for the current academic year (2023-24). The period for participation is from November 6 to November 20, 2023. The registration documents are available for download at https://kvsangathan.nic.in/, the official KVS website. According to KV regulations, CU Punjab employees’ offspring will receive priority during the selection process, then civilians.

With financial assistance from the Ministry of Education, this institution will function in a project-oriented manner, wherein the expenses associated with infrastructure and salaries for KV personnel will be borne by Central University of Punjab. One additional upper class will be added annually. Mr. Anil Kumar has been designated as the In-Charge Principal at KVCUP, while the Regional Office of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Chandigarh is deputing additional instructors and KV staff.

The Vice-Chancellor of CU Punjab, Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, thanked the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and the Honorable Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, for the establishment of Kendriya Vidyalaya on the CU Punjab campus. Prior to this, the university considered constructing a KV on its premises because faculty and staff were required to enroll their children in schools located 20 to 30 kilometers away from campus. He conveyed optimism that the creation of KV on the university campus would fulfill the academic requirements of both Bathinda District residents and the children of employees.

Professor Tiwari emphasized that the university administration is dedicated to furnishing essential facilities at KVCUP in order to facilitate the provision of high-quality education and encourage the growth of students’ aptitude, passion, and ingenuity.

The Principal-in-Charge, Mr. Anil Kumar, stated that parents who were interested in enrolling could visit the Kendriya Vidyalaya on the campus of the Central University of Punjab.
