The hostel was visited by West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Thursday, who promised swift action and the administration of justice.

After touring the university residence hall, the governor addressed the media, saying, “I went to the hostel, I talked with the students… and also the teachers, and they want justice. The law will be followed. They laid out some of the fundamental problems for me. We’ll deal with them. We’ll try our best to make things right and take decisive action.
