PM Modi praises teachers: The prime minister of India, Narendra Modi, lauded the teachers’ contribution to the intellectual development of India’s youth. On the eve of Teachers’ Day, during a meeting with the winners of the National Teachers’ Award 2023, PM Modi emphasised the importance of dedicated educators in moulding the future of the nation.

As the 21st century is characterised by swift technological advancements, Prime Minister Modi emphasised the importance of instilling students with an interest in science and technology. He emphasised the significance of skill development in preparing youth for the future.

The Prime Minister urged educators to promote local heritage, culture, and history, and to encourage students to investigate their regional roots. He praised India’s diversity and urged instructors to embrace and exhibit the rich cultures of India’s various regions.

Referring to Mission LIFE, Prime Minister Modi emphasised the significance of recycling and abandoning the disposable culture when discussing environmental sustainability. Moreover, he praised teachers for their participation in Swachhata programmes at their respective institutions.

PM Modi advised educators to continually advance their skills and knowledge over the course of their professions. The National Teachers’ Award honours outstanding educators who have not only improved the quality of education but also positively impacted the lives of their students.

This year, the scope of the award has been expanded to include instructors selected by the Department of Higher Education and Ministry of Skill Development in addition to those selected by the Department of School Education and Literacy, demonstrating a broader recognition of educational excellence.
