Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam 2023 was opened on Saturday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ‘Samagam’ coincides with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’s third birthday.

The prime minister stated during his opening speech at the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam that several international universities are interested in establishing campuses in India.

The globe views India as a nursery for fresh chances, according to PM Modi, who noted that other nations had approached the government about setting up IIT campuses there.

“India is seen as a nursery for fresh possibilities by the rest of the world. We are receiving requests from numerous nations to establish IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) campuses there. Two IIT campuses are about to open their doors: one in Tanzania and one in Abu Dhabi. Numerous international colleges have also contacted us to express interest in opening campuses in India, the PM remarked.

The greatest unfairness, according to the prime minister, is when children are judged on their language skills rather than their talent. “The NEP seeks to establish India as a center for innovation and research. Traditional knowledge systems and cutting-edge technology have been accorded equal weight in the policy, he said.

The PM also requested that schools educate kids on issues like sustainable energy, disaster preparedness, and climate change.

PM Modi also unveiled curriculum guides for skills and education in 12 Indian languages. The Bharat Mandapam, which is part of the former Pragati Maidan, is where the two-day Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam 2023 is being held.
