At a press conference organised by the university on its Kattigenahalli campus, the chancellor of REVA University, P Shyama Raju, stated, “We are equipped to support students interested in film studies. In order to pursue a career in this profession, students must develop expertise in cinematography, editing, screenwriting, and directing. Moreover, working with production houses can provide exposure and networking opportunities for aspiring filmmakers, he said.

The university is also launching a Bachelor of Science in sports science programme and an athlete wellness programme. The founder of 91 Sporting, Rahul Menon, stated, “Professional athletes confront a psychological issue. They are addressed at the highest level. What about student-athletes, though? The athlete’s wellness programme administered at the university level is crucial because 17- or 18-year-old aspiring athletes are in their formative years.”

“Incorporating Initiatives for Athlete Well-Being that are frequently undertaken by organisations like SAI and the Federation of Badminton. “Incorporating it into university curricula provides an athlete-friendly approach by teaching students how to deal with stress, financial management, injury rehabilitation, and mental health, which will help India become a sporting nation,” he said.
