The government told the Lok Sabha on Wednesday that during the year 2014 to 2022, 22.05 crore applications were received for appointments in various departments of the central government. Recruitment agencies have recommended the recruitment of 7.22 lakh candidates. This information was given by the Minister of State for Personnel Dr. Jitendra Singh in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha.
A Revanth Reddy had sought the details of people who got permanent jobs in various departments of the central government from the year 2014 till now. The Minister of State for Personnel informed that from the year 2014 till now, the number of candidates recommended by the recruiting agencies for appointment in various departments of the Central Government is 7,22,311. He informed that since the year 2014 till now 22,05,99,238 applications were received. Jitendra Singh said that creating employment is the priority of the government. He said that the Government of India has taken several steps to generate employment in the country. Production Based Incentive (PLI) schemes for a period of 5 years with an outlay of Rs 1.97 lakh crore have been introduced in the budget for the year 2021-22.
Talking about 2021-22, this year maximum one crore 86 lakh candidates had applied, out of which only 38850 have been recommended for government jobs. At the same time, in 2020-21, the maximum number of 78,555 and even more in 19-20, about 1.5 lakh people have been recommended for government jobs.
