Sarna seeks NCM chairman’s attention towards ‘collapsing’ Sikh educational institutions in Delhi

Sarna has questioned the NCM chairman about the apparent financial devastation of the DSGMC

Sikh educational institutions in Delhi: In a letter to the head of the National Commission for Minorities, Iqbal Singh Lalpura, the former president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, Paramjit Singh Sarna, asks him to pay attention to the crumbling Sikh educational institutions in Delhi, which were once “pillars of education and cultural preservation.”

“It is depressing to see the decline of Delhi’s classic Sikh institutions, which were once the cornerstones of cultural and educational preservation. The DSGMC-affiliated Sikh schools sadly failed and are now in danger of losing their recognition. In his letter to Lalpura, Sarna pleaded with him, “I beseech you, as the Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities, to offer your voice to express worry over this terrible development.”

Sarna wrote the letter in response to Lalpura’s previous criticism of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbadhak Committee’s purchase of a “overpriced” property and its subsequent request for a report from the Punjab government.

“I am perplexed by your reluctance to address the elephant in the room – the bankruptcy of the DSGMC and the collapse of Sikh educational institutions under its administration,” he has written. “Your ability to discern the SGPC’s actions with great precision is truly commendable.”

“Although you express great worry about the SGPC’s real estate transactions, I must implore you to direct your attention to the DSGMC’s tremendous debt burden of more than 330 crore, which was brought on by Harmeet Singh Kalka and his de-facto boss M S Sirsa. Sarna has questioned the NCM chairman about the apparent financial devastation of the DSGMC, which is run by people whose allegiance to the Bharatiya Janata Party is well known.”
