The Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC), Jawan, run by the Department of Community Medicine, JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a health talk on “Hypertension and its Complications”, at the Community Health Centre, Jawan, under the guidance of Prof. Saira Mehnaz, Chairperson, Department of Community Medicine, Dr.Tabassum Nawab, Assistant Professor and under the supervision of Dr. Uzma Eram, Member-In-Charge, RHTC, Jawan.
Dr. Ankit Singh, Medical Officer In-charge, CHC, Jawan inaugurated the session and delivered a speech.

Dr. Shubham Upadhyay (JR 2) gave the introductory information about High BP, definition of increased BP according to standard guidelines, signs/symptoms of hypertension, complications of hypertension and symptoms of stroke, importance of taking regular medication and continuous BP monitoring.
Dr. Chandramouli Mitra (JR 1) briefed about DASH diet and lifestyle modification in controlling High BP. She concluded the session by thanking the audience for their kind attention.
Interns participated in IEC activities by making posters and charts regarding the topics related to hypertension.
