Telangana launches CM Breakfast Scheme in schools

CM Breakfast Scheme: State ministers officially launched the CM Breakfast Scheme in Telangana schools in several districts while engaging in breakfast activities with the students.

Later this month, in time for the start of classes after the Dasara break, this programme, which aims to give kids wholesome meals while maintaining a high standard of education, will be implemented throughout the entire state.

Breakfast will be provided to almost 23 lakh pupils enrolled in 67,147 government schools throughout the state, according to state minister for municipal administration and urban development K.T. Rama Rao, who unveiled the programme at a school in Secunderabad’s West Marredpally neighbourhood.

Telangana launches CM Breakfast Scheme

45 minutes prior to the start of courses, breakfast will be offered to all students in grades 1 through 10.

Idli sambar, wheat rava, upma chutney, puri, aaloo khorma, tomato bhath, khichdi, and pongal are all on the breakfast menu.

The programme was launched in a school in Ravirala, Rangareddy district, by the minister of education Sabitha Indra Reddy. The CM Breakfast Scheme was introduced by Home Minister Mahmood Ali in Hyderabad’s Uppal neighbourhood.

Last month, as a present for Dasara, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao introduced this programme. The initiative will increase the state exchequer’s annual expenses by Rs 400 crore.

The state administration said that in addition to giving pupils from low-income households nourishing food, it is also taking initiatives to help them focus more on their schoolwork.

The programme was started with an awareness of the challenges experienced by parents of kids who are farm workers and leave their homes early for work.

KCR recently dispatched a team of IAS officers to Tamil Nadu to look into how the programme was being implemented. A report was provided to the government by a team of officers who investigated the breakfast programme for pupils. The CM was informed that it is only being used in Tamil Nadu up to Class 5 at this time. KCR made the decision to expand the programme to include high school pupils.

KTR said that Manna Trust, which operates a central kitchen with a two lakh meal capacity in Uppal, Hyderabad, has been given the task of carrying out the programme.

He requested that they assure good meals, take random samples, and have them evaluated often.
