Telangana NMMS Scholarship 2023: Today, October 3, 2023, the Office of the Directorate of Government Examinations began accepting applications for the Telangana National Means-cum-merit Scholarship (NMMS) programme. At bse.telangana.gov.in, the official website for the scholarship programme, interested students can check their eligibility and submit an application.
Registration for the Telangana NMMS 2023 is open through October 13. The deadline for submitting printed copies of NR (two copies), fee receipts, and online registered application forms is October 16, 2023. On December 10, 2023, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination for class 8th will be held at all Revenue Divisional Head Quarters of all 33 districts in the state in Telugu, Hindi, Urdu, and English.
This program’s major goal is to provide scholarships to deserving, economically disadvantaged children enrolled in public schools in order to prevent Class 8 dropouts and to motivate them to complete their education through Class 12.
• The candidates’ class 7th examination scores from the academic year 2022–2023 must have been at least 55%, 50% for SC/ST students, or an equal grade for other categories.
You can apply if you are a student in a ZP, local body, government, government-aided, or model school without a residential facility.
• Applicants must have parental income of less than Rs. 3,50,00,000 per year from all sources.

Application Fees
Exam fees range from Rs. 50 for SC/ST/PH students to Rs. 100 for OC/BC students.
Examination Format
Multiple choice questions for the 90 marks on the Mental Ability Test (MAT).
90-point Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) for classes VII and VIII in social sciences, mathematics, and sciences. One mark is assigned to each question. One question will be answered in one minute.
Cut-off
The cut-off for SC/ST students will be 32%, while the minimum qualifying marks for each paper will be 40%.
Selection would be based on merit, subject to quotas assigned district- and community-wise in accordance with rules established by MHRD New Delhi.
