TNPSC Departmental Exams 2023: Registrations open at apply.tnpscexams.in; Check how to apply

To help government workers advance within different Tamil Nadu government departments, including their current one, the TNPSC holds departmental exams.

TNPSC Departmental Exams 2023: The registration process for the 2023 Departmental Examinations has begun under the direction of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC). For admission into many departments, candidates can register on the official website, apply.tnpscexams.in.

The registration period began on September 27 and will end at 11:59 p.m. on October 26. The tests will start on December 9, 2023, will be given in a variety of sessions, including 9 AM to 11 AM, 2 PM to 5 PM, or 2:30 PM to 4 PM.

Those who succeed on the exam advance in their departments to the next level. Some departments also allow employees who have been transferred to other departments to apply for these exams and, if successful, be transferred to another department.

To register for the TNPSC Departmental Exam 2023, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Commission’s website at www.tnpsc.gov.in/www.tnpscexams.in as the first step.
  2. You must finish a One-Time Registration (OTR) and enter information related to your Aadhaar Number. This is required prior to applying. Your One Time Registration should be connected to your Aadhaar number.
  3. Before beginning the One Time Registration, check sure your signature and a current passport-size photo with a blue or white backdrop have been scanned. These should be saved in a folder as JPG or JPEG pictures.
  4. The departmental tests are not applied for through the One Time Registration. It’s merely a method of gathering data from you to provide you with a dashboard. Click “Apply” for the appropriate test on the Commission website to submit an application for a departmental test.
  5. Confirm that the data you give, including your name, date of birth, address, email address, and exam centre, will be taken as final. After submission, no modifications will be accepted.
  6. Insert your signature and photo into the proper links. The scanned images from the folder you created earlier can be used.
  7. The payment must be done online with a debit card, credit card, or net banking. No other forms of payment will be accepted. Based on the number of tests you select, an automatic calculation of the fees will be performed.
  8. You will get a message on your registered mobile number if your online application is accepted.
  9. Remember to save a copy of the completed form for your records.

Exam Format

  • Computer-based assessments known as “Objective Type Tests” may make up the entirety of the exam (100%) or only 40%, 60%, or 80% of it. They will last for 9 sessions over 5 days.
  • These are manual written tests that may make up the entirety of the exam or only 20%, 40%, or 60% of it. There will be 8 sessions spread across 4 days.
  • The Departmental Examinations will take place over a nine-day period, as outlined in Annexure-IV.
  • Some examinations (designated “With Books”) allow you to utilise a book throughout the exam, while others (designated “Without Books”) do not. In the Scheme & Syllabus (Annexure-II), you can discover more information.
  • Candidates must show up on two separate days to complete the 37 tests that have both objective and descriptive sections.
